Update #5

End of First Day Update: Stretch Goals #6 & #7 + More

UNBELIEVABLE  first day - well beyond any expectations I had - thank you all so much for your support! We unlocked all the stretch goals that I expected to unlock in the first week or two in THE FIRST DAY, which included everything on the first posted image. But not to worry, there's MANY more awesome items to unlock, and I just posted a whole new set of stretch goals to look forward to.

Apologies for the somewhat delayed update this evening - my DnD group met tonight and when I got home I was rushing to finish up some photos/paint, as I wanted to show some finished pics of items.

Regarding update cadence going forward: In an attempt to make the updates digestible to new people coming to the KS in the future, I will be limiting the updates to 1 or 2 (but most likely just 1) per day. I will still reveal new stretch goals with small notes when they are hit, but expect one update per day in the evening. Also, I will be posting some non-stretch-goal related updates, including a guide to DungeonPrinter Studio, a paint walkthrough, and more.

UNLOCKED: The Forest for the Trees

Giant tree strongholds are awesome, but not every tree in the Forest of Oakenspire is an Oakenspire stronghold. This stretch goal is one from our awesome community contributor, Ryan Beasecker of Hero's Hoard, and contains two standalone cutaway tree models to fill out the rest of the forest! These trees are scalable on every axis to make a unique variety of different shapes/sizes, very simple and easy to paint, and look GREAT  on the table! They will match perfectly with the 2d printable forest tile battle maps included with the project. Ryan will also be releasing an additional tree sculpt on his Thingiverse during the Kickstarter, so be sure to follow him (@Curufin) to get updates, and starting printing some trees before the KS even ends. The below pics show the two different sculpts, with different paint techniques.

Not pictured for this stretch goal, but in the works: A version of the bottom tree with some mushrooms and irregularities.

UNLOCKED: Fins for Days

Two new fin options for the Airship - One back rudder fin assembly, that mounts permanently on the back of the airship, and one new rear wing set that is magnetic. I also modified the rear nav deck to have a shorter version to work with the back rudder fin as well. (Please forgive the rough/rushed paint job on these - painted them frantically to get this stretch goal out!)

Painted / printed examples of some previous stretch goals

Finished up a rush paint job of the harpoons and the ball/chain rack, so I thought I would share those as well. The ball'n chain rack is a small but fun print. I personally believe that small scatter items like this really add that extra level of believable detail to a scene!
