The Battle of Grunwald, also known as Battle of Tannenberg, was a pivotal moment in the late Middle-Ages. It marked the start of the decline of the Order of the Teutonic Knights as a decisive power in Central and Eastern Europe and the emergence of the Kingdom of Poland and the Baltic Nations among others.

In 1410, a combined force of Polish, Lithuanian and contingents from many of their vassals, like Czechs, Wallachians, Bohemians and many more, inflicted a decisive defeat to an army of Teutonic Knights. The importance of this battle has been so important for the construction of the national identities and the romantic pride of all of the nations that took part on it, that it was still used as an element of propaganda in the 20th Century, during the Second World War.

Our figure depicts a Polish knight in of the early XV century. He wears a combination of white harness and gambeson that can be painted to depict a wide array of subjects from the period.
