Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle
This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle. This is a towering model â the word âminiatureâ barely does it justice, as he looms over the rest of the Death Guard and gives even Bloodthirsters something to look up to! He is clad in baroque power armour known as the Barbaran Plate â this is covered in rust and rot, with skulls, spikes and Nurgle symbolism on each of the chunky components. Mouldering robes, chains and a rotten cowl hang from this armour, partially covering the system of pipes that feed his breathing apparatus â it is safe to assume that this ventilator isnât delivering fresh and clean air to Mortarion, rather vile spores and disease. He is armed with 2 foul weapons: a massive scythe named Silence, a rusting yet razor-sharp blade featuring brutal chain-teeth, stained with the blood of worlds and capable even of hacking a Reaver Titan to pieces; and The Lantern, an ancient energy pistol. There are two modelling options for these weapons â one option features the weapons down by Mortarionâs side, the other features a much more aggressive pose.
Mortarion features huge, decaying wings â these are modelled with pockmarks, holes and tears, representing the horror and decay of Nurgleâs hordes. Speaking of Nurgleâs hordes, there are plenty of extras with this kit â 2 Nurgling Drones carrying phosphex bombs hang from the chains on Mortarionâs armour, with a further 3 on the base: 1 carries a Chaos icon, one waves a censer and one carries a tank of unmentionably horrid substances. The base itself is detailed with rocks which themselves are being corrupted by the foul presence of the Daemon Primarch.
Mortarion comes as 78 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 100mm Round base.
The Plague Brethren
Of all the armies that seek to conquer the stars in the 41st Millennium, the Death Guard are truly the foulest and most corrupt. Made monstrous by their patron god Nurgle â lord of plagues and grandfather of disease â they are decay and entropy made manifest, living icons of hopelessness and despair.
This box set contains 3 plastic Plague Marines, which can be used as alternative models in any Plague marine squad, an exclusive 20-page booklet featuring an interview with designer Maxime Pastourel giving insight into the process behind the miniaturesâ creation, along with an âEavy Metal showcase, painting guide, and 3 art cards featuring concept art by John Blanche!
Miniatures
Blight Stalker â a trench warfare expert, resplendent in a sinister gasmask â he is armed with a bolter and blight grenade (featuring a skull), and is accompanied by a nurgling carrying a disease-coated stick â itâs probably best not to dwell on where that stick has beenâ¦
Dipteron â evoking the classic Death Guard motif of mutation and corruption, this model is covered in growths and tentacles, and wields a meltagun and blight grenade. He features extra meltagun nozzles on his back, showing his commitment to the long war.
Corpulux â bloated, diseased and in an advanced state of disrepair, his armour is bursting with decay, held together by patches of chain mail. He carries a plague knife and a blight bomb â again, this bomb is made out of an unfortunate victimâs headâ¦
