Why did you choose this Kill Team?

I came up with a backstory that a small forward force of Adeptus Mechanicus sent deep into the furthest reaches of the galaxy would serve as a repair station for all of the Emperor's finest, but far enough away from any danger so as no tot be under attack themselves.

As fate should have it no wars occurred near them and thus the way point became useless. Instead of being recalled the decision was made to simply abandon them without communication. Over the next few centuries, forgotten by all but the warp, they had to repair themselves and upgrade themselves for survival from whatever they could find. After excavating the area they found several odd artifacts and began to worship the new totems, not knowing these were relics of dark powers.

What rules options did you use?

As a fan of weight of numbers, I decided to keep all of my units at a basic level with no upgrades. The 10 Skitarii Vanguard are all equipped with radium carbines and the Dragoons have taser lances, A simple rules set would also fit nicely into the background of my Skittarii collection, being abandoned centuries ago and, due to the natural corruption and scavenging, only able to maintain the most basic of equipment.

One Dragoon has been gifted with the Combat Specialist- Deathblow special rule.

One Dragoon has been gifted with the Guerilla Specialist- hit and run special rule.

The sergeant has been gifted with the Weapons Specialist - Suppressing Fire special rule.

How do you plan on using it on the tabletop?

I plan on using the Dragoons to cause as much confusion on the battlefield as possible, by running around making quick and heavy strikes on larger targets with the taser lance before running off to line up another attack.

The Skitarii Rangers will advance slowly, hopefully taking full advantage of any cover, and offer suppressive fire through weight of numbers and will all focus on one enemy at a time. This should give them their best chance to destroy the opposing force before moving onto another target.

One by one they will fall!

What models did you use?

I used one box of Skitarii Vanguard and two Sydonian Dragoons

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about your Kill Team?

With the Imperial forces being as efficient as they are they will no doubt have left some poor souls or even hard drives laying around in the deepest corners of the galaxy to rot away whilst they simply mass produce another of its kind as a replacement.

My Skitarrii were unknowingly corrupting themselves by repeatedly installing corrupted hardware from their scavenging excursions and through praying to what they believed to be a savior. I’m not saying they’ve completely turned to Chaos, but their programming has definitely corrupted over the last few years.
