1:16 scale resin bust. Sculpted by Eduard Pérez. Boxart by Fernando Ruiz. kit includes: 1 piece.

The 9th Kentucky Infantry regiment was created on October 3rd, 1861, under the command of Colonel Thomas H Hunt. It fought for the first time at Shiloh, Tennessee on April 6th, 1862, integrated on the Mayor General John C Breckinridge’s Reserve Corps. The soldiers were transported by the river and landed there to take part on the battle on April 7th. They were involved in other seventeen battles and campaigns, including the Vicksburg Defense until the end of the Unionist siege campaign on July 3rd, 1863.
The bust includes a couple of interesting features, like the Columbus Depot Type I jacket in Butternut Gray Wool Jean color. The hat is the 1839 pattern and, although the Army had adopted a new forage cap pattern in 1858, it was quite popular in the Confederate States because it was commonly widespread as a civil garment. The shortage of uniforms during the first year of the war made it a common headdress among the Southern soldiers, in special among those that were not equipped by the government.
