It’s the start of another year, and I’m excited to usher it in with the full rules for not one but two new models—one for WARMACHINE and one for HORDES. New year, new models to unveil! The Bog Trog Trawler ambushes onto the battlefield and drags away his prey, while Bloat Thrall Overseer Mobius brings a deadly presence to the battlefield that raises other Bloat Thralls to terrifying new heights.
HORDES: Devastation ended with a climactic battle that stirred the Devourer Wurm itself. Within these pages is a scenario inspired by those events. It’s not your typical scenario, though. It’s a three-player affair in which one player wields the power of the Beast of All Shapes! If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a god, this is the scenario for you. Of course, defeating a god is a pretty big deal, too.
This issue also includes new campaign format that promises fun for new and old players alike. “Apprentice Boot Camp” is a three-part campaign that helps you focus on the ABCs of WARMACHINE and HORDES. See what we did there? “Guts & Gears” details the history of one of Khador’s most feared warjacks, the Grolar. “The Gavyn Kyle Files” sheds some light on the Protectorate warcaster Anson Durst, revealing there’s more to him than meets the eye.
