Update #8

The Inca Empire War Party

On these pages we will put up the stretch goal war party starter kits. Now for the most part these have not gone off to the artists yet, so i am putting up my Design Sketches with these updates. The Design sketches are what i send to the artist along with a pile of other refference material so that he can create the design the concept sketch that then goes to the sculpter. I am not an artist so please ignore the errors in anatomy.
Inca Empire War Party
1 War Chief, 6 Inca Militia Spearmen, 6 Colla Skirmishers, 1 Kallawaya Doctor, 1 Mallku
Now i normally work with a concept artist to come up with an original and dynamic hero to lead the War Parties. So i do not have art for him yet. The Inca War Cheif will be fielded on foot and will have a Spear (which is his badge of office) and a club with a bronze star shaped head on it.
The is the Inca Militia Spearman was the one of the most common Incan troops in the Incan army, the other are slingers. This unit includes 6 militia men with spears, including a leader.
The army of the Inca Empire was made up of very few Inca and consisted of mostly allied troops from all over the empire. The second unit is a Allied unit from the Colla People. The Colla wore cone shaped hats becouse they practiced skull binding and could not wear normal helmets or hats. One of the most interesting weapons in the America's was the Bola that was used by the Colla and other similare groups. The Bola is a thrown weapon that can kill or trip a enemy and was effective against Spanish Horses. This unit includes 6 Colla Skirmishers with a leader.
The Officer in this War Party is the Kallawaya Doctor. The Kallawaya have existed since before the inca and still exist today. The Kallawaya are what we would call a doctor today. They treated poor health and illnesses with the wealth of herbs in the area. They would walk all over the Incan World on paths and roads that have been long forgotten, helping who they could and looking for new herbs to farther then herbal knowlage. This kit comes with one Kallawaya Doctor.
The Spirit Beast for this War Party is the Mallku, the Condor Spirit. The Mallku is the guardian spirit of the Andes mountains, and are servents of the local gods and often act as messagers to humanity when the need were to arise. The Mallku will stand at about 30mm to 35mm tall and will be mounted on a new style 40mm round base.

Update #7

Woodland Tribes War Party

On these pages we will put up the stretch goal war party starter kits. Now for the most part these have not gone off to the artists yet, so i am putting up my Design Sketches with these updates. The Design sketches are what i send to the artist along with a pile of other refference material so that he can create the design the concept sketch that then goes to the sculpter. I am not an artist so please ignore the errors in anatomy.
Woodlands Tribes War Party
1 War Chief , 6 Woodland Warriors, 6 Woodland Tomahawks, 1 Sagamore, 1 Flying Head
Now  I normally work with a concept artist to come up with an original and dynamic hero to lead the War Parties. So i do not have art for him yet. The War Chief will likely look some thing like the Officer of this kit, the Sagamore.
The Warriors are all based off of this model shown. Two units included in this kit are the Woodland Warriors that are armed with a Club and a Bow, and the one is armed with Tomahawks and clubs. These units are 6 men each with a leader model.
The Sagamore is a lower ranking chieftain in the Woodland culture, He is a stout feild commander and quite deadly with his Tomahawks. He is the Officer for this kit.
The Spirit Beast for this War Party is the terror inspiring Flying Head. The Flying Head are one of the few remaining Iroquois myths that have survived to the modern era. The Flying Heads are going to be between 28mm to 30mm tall, and yet at that size these are still quite monsterous. The picture below is the concept sketch for the flying head. I am currently planning on making the Flying one and the one in the corner that has landed. The kit will mostlikly come with a Random flying head.

Update #6

Hawaiian Koa War Party

On these pages we will put up the stretch goal war party starter kits. Now for the most part these have not gone off to the artists yet, so i am putting up  my Design Sketches with these updates. The Design sketches are what i send to the artist along with a pile of other refference material so that he can create the design the concept sketch that then goes to the sculpter. I am not an artist so please ignore the errors in anatomy.
The Hawaiian Koa War Party includes -
1 War Chief, 6 Po'€™e-Kaua Spearmen, 6 Hawaiian Slingers, 1 Ali'€™i, 1 Mo'€™o
Now i normally work with a concept artist to come up with an original and dynamic hero to lead the War Parties. So i do not have art for him yet. The War Chief will likely look some thing like the Officer of this kit, the Ali'i.
The Hawaiian Warrior in the picture below is the uniform we are going to use for all three warrior unit that are in the Hawaiian Koa list. The Warriors that will be included in this kit will be 6 warriors armed with shark tooth spears, including a leader.
The next picture is the Hawaiian Skirmisher. These are light missile troops. The Skirmishers that will be included in this kit will be 6 skirmisher armed with slings, Shark tooth Fist Weapons/ Daggers and a Tripping weapon called a Pikoi.
The Officer for this kit is the Ali'i. The Ali'i is a noble in Hawaiian culture and a officer in the different armies of the Hawaiian kings. The Ali'i is armed with a Maka
P'hoa Ko'oko'o or Forked Staff. This weapon was used to disarm, and blind enemies and was also used like a staff weapon and/or a spear.
The Spirit Beast for the Hawaiian Starter kit is the Mo'o Lizard Guardian. The Mo'o is a large anamorphic Gekko that protect pools of fresh water found on the Pacific islands. The Mo'o is armed with a spear or a glaive. I do not have a picture for this Spirit Beast, but I did comission it and i should have it posted soon.

Update #5

The Pacific Northwest Tribes War Party

Pacific Northwest Tribes War Party includes -
1 War Chief, 6 Clan Warriors, 6 Clan Whalers, 1 Totem Pole, 1 Akhlut
I have included the WIP of the War Chief, the Headman.
The Clan Warriors shown have six different model types (three with cloaks and three with out). Not seen in the picture is their weapons. They are armed with a Whale Bone Clud, a metal wedge dagger and bow. The plan here was to offer hand and weapon options, to allow the gamer to build the unit the way he sees fit. This unit includes a Leader model that will have roughly the same uniform as the other clan warrior with the exeption of his head and cloak which will be different to indicate his rank in the tribe. You will get 5 Warriors and 1 Leader with this kit.
The Clan Whalers are armed with harpoons, and are a lighter troop type then the Clan Warriors. This unit includes 5 Troopers and 1 leader.
The Totem Pole is the Officer for this Starter Kit. The Totem Pole has alot of in game effects that really help the tribe even if it causes no damage.
The Spirit Beast in this Kit is the Akhlut, the Orca/Wolf Hybrid from Inuit Myths. This is likely the largest of the Spirit beasts in the starter kits. It is about 35mm at the withers and the head is large enough to easiely bit off you head and rib cage with little effort.
