Update #19

Getting ready for wave 1 shipping

Greetings Survivors,

It has been a very busy holiday season over here at GBG. We hope you all enjoyed YOUR holiday season. The Pledge Manager has been extended to be open until February 29th.

If anyone needs to update their address now is the time to do so as we will be gearing up for wave 1 shipping.

Wave 1 shipping is for all the EXISTING Zpocalypse product. Wave 1 is automatic for people that are receiving existing product.

We’ve been playtesting Zpoc 2 and have experimenting with different dice systems, tightening up the skills, and have been enjoying crafting. Here’s what happened:

Playtest Review From Zach

It was a Best of times.. it was the Blurst of times....Gee gad!

“So yeah, proto dev work on Zpocalypse 2, and I do stress the 2 part, as we're revamping a bunch of systems in the game in a manner to de-fiddle the base game. The primary issue we've encountered is scaling the game to allow for a number of consecutive sessions and still remain balanced, while also thematically hitting a homerun with the crafting, and zombie combat. So far, the skills are feeling good, especially the wasteland mutation abilities, as it's a clear step away from the general vanilla noise that is the zombie board game arena. In addition we are experimenting with a new dice system based around a 2d6 core roll instead of the original bucket of dice success system that zpocalypse 1 used. I personally thought we'd be further along by now, but other projects and day to day operations have slowed the Z2 dev work, but we are still trudging forward and hope to have a public beta for tabletop simulator available in the near future. To put a point on it, you can't rush greatness, and Z2 is a work of passion for myself and our team, and we don't want to short change it all. anyway, play tests went well but still need some further work before we can do prime time.” -Stream of consciousness ~Zach (GBG Web Guy)

Pledge Manager Link: http://www.greenbriergames.com/zpocalypse2

  • Please note that our pledge manager is open until December 31st.
  •  You may choose to add add-ons to your existing pledge in step 2 of the checkout process.
  •  If you move after Dec 31st (and give us enough notice before shipping) you may change your address via the pledge manager upwards of a month after it closes.
  •  Please do not forget to confirm your address. We will send out reminder updates as the time comes close, but forgetting to confirm your address may cause your items to be delayed in shipping to you.
Most important is to confirm and close out your order.

If you have any questions directly for us about the pledge manager please send us an email. We do not get notified of backers posting in the comment section, so if you would like a speedy response email is the best way to go. Please send us an email at greenbriergames@gmail.com

If you've sent us a message, please be patient. This weekend has been jam-packed for Greenbrier Games! Our team has been busy increasing awareness of our games at Alliance Distributor's Open House and BostonFig. We'll all be back in the office tomorrow to help with any questions!

Wave 2: For Zpocalypse 2 products only
ETA for Z2 products is Q3/Q4 of 2016

Update #16

It Is Finished!

We did it! We did it! It’s backed! Hooray! Thank you all for supporting this campaign, and we look forward to your continued ideas on BGG. Your contribution has been on so many levels, and we’re glad you’re part of our squad.

Oh and while (most) of us were sleeping...

We reached another stretch goal! Here’s the breakdown:

What is it? 24 (Yes, 24, double the original) new scavenging locations that take you back to the ‘hood. That’s the urban zombie trap you just escaped from. Sometimes, you just gotta go back.

What level do you get it? 60K my friends, you did it.

Is it an add on? No way, this is adding directly to the replayability of the game!

Picture: There’s no picture silly… it’s all writing! But look for some of the locations you suggested in the Comments section last night. They have already been dragged, kicking and screaming, into Julie’s brain.

See you in the suburbs friends!

Update #15

It’s the final countdown!

You now have that song stuck in your head. You’re welcome.

That game play that happened

So in case you missed it, we had a really fun day yesterday. You see, there’s this guy we know, you might know him too. He agreed to come playtest our game. We weren’t sure if he’d be able to play while the Kickstarter was still going on, so we kept it to ourselves. But now we can share it with you: in case you missed it, here is Angry Joe and “Other” Joe playing Zpocalypse 2: Defend the ‘Burbs with lil’ ole us. It was pretty awesome.

http://www.twitch.tv/angryjoeshow/v/10554170

In the video, you can see that Angry Joe has his own survivor card and miniature. Previously these were available at only the Aftermath Catch-Up ($305) pledge levels and above, but because you guys are so awesome... every backer at the Z-BURBS DELUXE ($75) pledge level and above will now receive Angry Joe's survivor card and mini!

But that's not all! We're also adding another survivor card "Other" Joe into the Z-BURBS DELUXE ($75) pledge level! Now you can play as the two of them slaying zombies in Zpocalypse.

The Survivors who made it

The Longest Walk

We’re out of the city, and thinking things would get better. But now there are so few of us, and still the undead come for us. There’s no real protection at night, and what’s worse, is that we’re turning on each other. We have to find shelter soon before no one is left.

The final survey shows these are the survivors that made it. They will help the new ones lead the way into the next phase of the Zpocalypse. Again the ties were removed. Thank you to everyone who voted! This was a great way to select. These survivors will join Rebecca, Madkins, Rose, Morgan, Lora, and Aussie. Good luck brave souls:

Colonel Glover, Ericka, Charlie, Abigail, Ralphie, Frank
