Gearing up for the final 48

Headed Into the Final 48 Hours

As we get ready going into the final 48 hours, please remember to post to Facebook, Twitter and Thumbs up everything we have on BGG. If you share through this page, we get the new card reward. As we’re typing we have 419 shares, and we only need to make it to 450. We have many of the stretch goals poised and ready to be made, but either way we are completely excited to polish this game to make it fantastic for you.

International Shipping

Just a reminder that we will be shipping to our European and Australian distribution centers, so if you live in Europe or Australia you won’t have to pay VAT or customs. This includes wave 1 and wave 2 shipping.

Last days to vote for the final survivors:

If you haven’t had a chance go here to cast your deciding vote!

 Final old-school post to share

Update #12

Reboot Response

Thank You everyone for the advice.

Visibility of the project is growing, and we've put significant resources into making Zpocalypse 2 possible. We're excited about where all of you can help us take this game and are looking forward to finishing this Kickstarter strong! We can only do so with your help!

We know some of you are getting discouraged and questioning the value of the deluxe pack.

So to reward those who have stuck through this project from the beginning, we are going to offer something very special. Coming back from the long lost archive is the Mad Mechanic miniature. All pledges at the $75 - ZBURBS DELUXE and above will be given this EXCLUSIVE miniature and his special elite survivor card and blow torch armory card.

Also we would like to reward all you backers by simply supporting us on Facebook. If we reach 450 shares on this page will add in a new ARMORY CARD to the $75 level. Remember you can share more than once and it will keep adding to the total.

In addition we would like to remind everyone all the amazing extra content that comes with the Deluxe level:

Update #11

All the News

Hey folks we’re sending out this update to let you know we are still fighting for this campaign. As a backer, please remember to keep things positive on our comments. Asking questions is great, but adding to the chaos will not help turn it around. Thanks!

 What’s going on?

We've opened 2 more Immortan Joe slots for any new males interested in being in the game.

Who Survived Round 2?

Interesting votes my friends, there were some close ones that won by the tiniest margin, and one flat out tie…. you picked the speedsters and the healers this round. They may well help you out in the suburbs.
When the dust had settled, they looked around. Those who were the strongest had stayed behind to defend themselves, knowing those who had carried most of the supplies needed to move on. They looked at each other tearfully, and moved forward.

Rebecca Stoner, Madkins, Rose Lucky, Morgan Whitney, Lora Shanks, Aussie Arndt will head on to the ‘Burbs!

The Last Survivor Vote:

The Barricade

Once we got to the city limits, there was a barricade set up. No one was there to enforce the quarantine, but it made leaving the city almost impossible. The undead clustered there, and mix of soldiers and people trying to flee the city. We took our time walking along the edge, looking for a thinned out spot. In the end we had to make a run for it, and lost so many more along the way.

Go here to vote for the last group. We’ve whittled them away, and when you see them all again, they will probably be older, dirtier and with some adjustment to their abilities based on their experiences.

Our Tabletop Simulator gameplay ALPHA (soooooooo Alpha) for Zpoc 2

While this is actually a board game, we have a way of playtesting online for our game design purposes. With all the hubbub going on with the campaign I wanted to get this post up and running for possible signups for play testing Zpocalypse 2 via the Steam Game TableTop Simulator. It's like $20 bucks (you need your own copy to play). We have our game assets hosted on our server and once the details are shared we can get some play test sessions up and running and literally get some community feedback on our concepts before we go to print because we want this game to be as awesome as humanly possible!

 Throwback Thursday

This week here’s Theresa, who organizes all the game play and demos for all our conventions. It seemed timely since she worked a lot this week:
Here is her first interview:

Plus her interview about what she does for conventions.

And let’s give a shout-out to our original game, but in German! Here is the German “Let’s Board Play” Zpoc Review. We have no idea what he’s saying, but we were fascinated:

Update #10

Where have you all been?

We woke up to one of the designers of Yashima posting that he felt like the zombie dude from the banner of this Kickstarter. Gen Con is like that.

There were so many friends to say hi to and games to see. We started unloading on Tuesday where we tried to find space for 4 pallets of games as tall as Julie (she’s not that tall) and create the best setup that could show Yashima, Heavy Steam, Ninja Dice, Fairy Tale Games, the Martial Arts card game, premiering Folklore the Affliction and A.E.G.I.S… and then there was some Zpocalypse and Zmergency too. Wednesday we spent a lot of time meeting all the volunteers and teaching them about all the games. Everyone who came to help out was amazing! Then it was Thursday where everything became a blur of people and more people. Here were some personal highlights:

  • Zach - It really felt like we were a squad of survivors. Each night we had to sleep in shifts. Each day we had to fight off the hordes of gamers who assaulted our booth. When time allowed we scavenged for water and food to keep ourselves from getting fatigued. In the end we survived.

  • Julie - I really loved some of the silly moments like when we tried all day to play Dead of Winter and by the time we got to it, we were all too tired to play and got killed off immediately. On the last day the last 6 people standing hobbled their way into a restaurant to eat before hitting the road. I had ordered a plate of fried pickles to share. Have you ever seen a shark feeding frenzy? It was like that. There was also the fact that one of the finalists in the Yashima tournament was someone playing with Kenta and the Dragon Kami, which is a combination I had never thought to use in the way he did. When people use our games in new and better ways it is so amazing!
  • Theresa- I enjoyed talking to the gamers that came by our booth and enjoyed playing games with us. I especially loved seeing the zpocalypse fans that made the gumball machine from Zpocalypse. I lost my voice the first day and it is still not quite back yet! I think I leveled up my talker skill!
  • Jeff- Meeting our backers was the highlight of the con for me. Greenbrier Games would not be here today without them. It was also great to see some of our team members from across the US in person.

What’s happening with the campaign?

It’s true that we’ve lost some momentum because we were away. You know we love all of your feedback and commitment, but it’s also hard to have a campaign where you are so involved and then have to go away in the middle of it. We’ve never done a Kickstarter during Gen Con for that reason. However, we decided to accept that evil fact because we knew that with all of our other great games in the pipeline there would be no time this year to do a Kickstarter for Zpocalypse. We are working on Folklore next and that is also a big campaign. At this point, we would like to talk about the difference between designing and game and working on a Kickstarter. We try to spend the majority of our time on the designing part. We do not want to neglect you, our community, but we also work on the game’s aspect all the time and then there are our day jobs too. We would like to thank our backers who have stood by us and know that we are still working on Zpocalypse 2 and are planning on making it the best game it can be. To that end…

Deluxe Pack Restructuring

Since it was challenging for us to be as attentive as we wanted to during Gencon, We’re going to include the $70k Stretch goal of the Wasteland Tiles into the Current Deluxe Pack right NOW! We will be eating this cost as a thank you to those backers that stuck by us during this campaign. In it’s place, on the stretch goal ladder we will be attempting to unlock the $200k stretch goal from our previous Zpocalypse Aftermath campaign. We call him the mechanic. He sure does look a little MAD doesn't he?

*Survivor Survey to come in next update.

Since we’ve been speaking about Gen Con, we met many really interesting people and a few even have Kickstarter campaigns running right now:
