Eolith Miniatures

Welcome to Eolith Miniatures. Eolith has been set up to produce high quality resin figures for painters, collectors and gamers. It’s also the new home for a few figures that I used to produce under the name Spyglass Miniatures. These were originally cast in metal but have now been lovingly remastered into resin.

My design philosophy for miniatures has always been to keep things simple and not make the painter’s task a nightmare. In the past I have taken a ‘blank canvas’ approach with a lot of flat areas. I’ve revised my style a bit for this new venture and have tried to increase the detail levels and the general involvement of the figures without compromising my vision for ease-of-painting. I feel confident that I have achieved this and that this will be shown in the upcoming releases. That said, I do plan a small section of the store for ‘sculpted on a whim’ figures, and you can never be quite sure how those will fit the pattern.

Eolith has been set up to produce high quality resin figures for painters, collectors and gamers. It’s also the new home for a few figures that Steve Buddle used to produce under the name Spyglass Miniatures. These were originally cast in metal but have now been lovingly remastered into resin. Steve's design philosophy for miniatures has always been to keep things simple and not make the painter’s task a nightmare. In the past he has taken a ‘blank canvas’ approach with a lot of flat areas. He has revised his style a bit for this new venture and has tried to increase the detail levels and the general involvement of the figures without compromising his vision for ease-of-painting. That said, He does plan a small section of the store for ‘sculpted on a whim’ figures, and you can never be quite sure how those will fit the pattern. Steve Buddle has been painting miniatures for over twenty years now and started sculpting them around ten years ago. He got his sculpting break working for Wargames Foundry and then went on to sculpt for Games Workshop, Dark Age Games, and many others. In 2003 He decided to break out on his own and set up Spyglass Miniatures to show the world his own personal miniatures ethos. Spyglass was a success in it’s time and he is immensely proud of it but times change and he recently decided to ‘rethink things’. Eolith Miniatures is the result.

The Zo figures were bought by Darrell who owns Elodie Mae.
Spyglass 28mm range acquired by Heresy Miniatures.
Eolith 54mm range acquired by Model Display Products and now calling War Griffon Miniatures.
