Fallout - Wasteland Warfare

Fallout: Wasteland Warfare is a tabletop wargame with miniatures set in the post-apocalyptic world of the popular Fallout video game series. Players assemble squads of survivors, mutants, robots, and iconic characters to battle each other or against artificial intelligence in the wastelands.

The gameplay consists of forming squads from characters of various factions and heroes of the Fallout universe, represented by highly detailed 32mm miniatures. On their turn, players activate figures to perform actions such as moving, attacking, or interacting with the environment.

The game offers several modes: competitive (PvP), cooperative, and single-player. For single-player games, a special deck of artificial intelligence (AI) cards is used to control enemies, imitating their tactics; this AI can also be used as a third party in games between players. Players can designate units as “Heroic” to gain access to V.A.T.S. bonuses, and squad leaders can acquire perks and other abilities to support the team.

The game includes both story campaigns and individual missions with various objectives, from searching for items to destroying enemies. A unique feature is the development of your own settlements: constructing buildings, fortifications, and managing resources directly affects the composition of your squad and its capabilities.

The starter set includes everything you need to start playing with a friend, including a modular game board, highly detailed miniatures, special dice, measuring sticks, and various cards, tokens, and markers. The combat system is based on dice rolls, and the outcome depends on the characteristics of the units, their weapons, armor, and tactical factors such as the use of cover and distance to the target.

It is important not to confuse Fallout: Wasteland Warfare with another game from the same publisher, Fallout: Factions. Wasteland Warfare is more focused on storytelling and role-playing elements, offering a deep campaign system, settlement development, and the ability to play solo. At the same time, Fallout: Factions is a more traditional and fast-paced competitive skirmish wargame focused on player-versus-player combat. Despite the differences in rules, the miniatures from both games are fully interchangeable.
