Owner of the company: Knuckleduster Miniatures

Sculptor, musician, master's level administration graduate, and game-industry professional Forrest Harris discovered miniatures from an article in Time Magazine in the 1970s featuring a photo of a Napoleonic wargame. Soon he was buying Airfix figures and copies of Wargamer's Digest at a Galesburg, Illinois hobby shop and developing a lifelong love of miniature wargaming.

He founded Knuckleduster in 1998. In the early years, Knuckleduster published sourcebooks for western roleplaying games and sold painted figures produced by Old Glory and Wargames Foundry. By 2003, Forrest was sculpting his own figures and Knuckleduster was selling castings under the Knuckleduster Miniatures brand.

Forrest learned the art of mold-making and casting under the tutelage of former GAMA president and all-around great guy Don Perrin. Soon after he started doing the grunt work to produce his own miniatures. Ten years later, he resolved to educate himself about digital sculpting in order to keep up with times and improve the quality of Knuckleduster's figures.
