Eternal Inferno Battlebarge

The Vivrathk, instead of rely on large troop cruisers with assault shuttles, split the difference and instead use the Eternal Inferno Battlebarge. Though technically classed as a smallcraft, it actually is capable of normal starship operations with the need for a carrier. It carries and quarters a significant amount of troops. However, because it is comparatively small, it can itself land for deployment of surface operations, and it is also not too big to undertake boarding actions if required.

It is also well-armed for a vessel of its size, with two blaster-beam turrets and a small spinal-mount lazer lance for use to help disable enemy ship's engines. Rounding out it's weaponry, it carries a single light torpedo tube for assistance in knocking out a vessel's shields for the lazer lance to do it's work.

The cost of cramming all this onto a ship of this size is that the troops are held in cramped and rather spartan conditions and that the cost and supply requirements are considerable.
