The Ringbeast
Most would agree that the horrific beasts from Itheria are unnatural abominations that must be destroyed.
The Ringbeast is no exception, in fact - scholars question why the angels of The High Heavens have not parted the clouds and exterminated this abomination for simply existing. The inaction of the celestials might simply prove that good no longer exists in Edyn and all hope is lost.
*House Revanicus is known for blood experimentation and monster slayers can usually figure out what nightmares have been fused together to create a beast of Itheria.
What confuses The Crimson Hunters and Rebels is the nature of this beast. It seems to be composed of creatures that would be unsuitable for creating a predator of any sort.*
Its spines and claws seem to be mutated traits from a shrew? Echidna? Porcupine? Hedgehog? These wild theories don't explain all of its strange traits though. It is unbelievably strong as its largest arm can sunder solid stone with its clawed knuckles.
Despite its small legs compared to its hulking upper body. It is fast - it has to go fast. It moves even faster by tucking its extremities towards its underside and rolling on its spine covered back. When it isn't moving at great speeds, it constantly twitches as its unblinking eyes dart around and it sniffs or snarls from its toothy maw.
*The multiple tails, it could be a trait from a more magical creature or maybe it is simply a mutation that occurred during its metamorphosis - similar to its face still retaining its almost human-like noses across its stretched out face.
The multiple pairs of crazed eyes dart around as if constantly searching for prey... food.. or treasure. Yes, it seems to share a trait most would associate with dragons, but it seems obsessed with golden trinkets of a particular shape - gold rings, circlets, chain links, etc.
Few survivors have reported the beast eating people, but there were claims that the beast was particularly focused on tearing through a butcher's shop. It was distracted by the cured meats long enough for bystanders to run and hide. After a few moments of tearing through the building, it quickly burst from the shadows with sausage links hanging from its terrible maw.*
That leads The Crimson Hunters to believe that House Revanicus spliced small spine-covered mammals, possibly a dragon and man into one horror. All of which is just completely madness - a crime against all of existence.
