In the past, Adyr was a criminal that did terrible things to survive on the streets of Ardynfel. Through adventuring and finding help through divine power, he was able to break free from his life as a mercenary, a thug for hire.

He rebuilt his life fighting good ideals, to defend the weak and innocent. He was even able to build a family of his own. He knew nothing would make up for his past, but he would strive to do good moving forward. Fellow clerics and paladins welcomed him into their order to fight against the evils that would seek to ruin Edyn.

Until this evil found its way into their holy order. Slowly, it corrupted the High-Clerics and Paladin-Commanders. Something wicked whispered in their ears, telling them of the life of sin that Adyr left behind.

Forgiveness was rescinded. In fact, they brutally punished him and ensured that he could never leave his past behind. His sins were tattooed everywhere upon his body. No one could look upon his face or even shake his hand without knowing the terrible things he had done.

Despite his despair, his rage - he did not give up on the ideals that once saved him. His divine power did not leave him, despite his order and god abandoning him. He donned his vestments and armour - even a metal battle mask. He covered his sins beneath his equipment and sought out the evil that corrupted his order.

All his leads lead to The Dead Sands of Saathrasesh... there he would find the culprit. A tiefling spellcaster named Caius Dragmire.
