This month, we take to the treacherous Tempest Isles, where raging seas crash against ancient stone, and something far older stirs beneath the waves. Our Texture Rollers bring you the remnants of this desolate place, with splintered wood and deep-sea carved details setting the tone. We went all-in this month, creating some of our stormiest water textures yet! Perfect for fantasy skirmishes against monsters of the sea! Get yer boots on!
The add-ons this month give you everything you need to set a full scene, with battered shipwreck remnants being dragged beneath the surface, wrapped in kraken’s grasping tentacles. We’ve also included floating debris with makeshift your players’ last hope of escape, and even barnacle-encrusted rock formations to help tie the whole scene together.
Texture Rollers
-Wrecked Deck
This roller is of a highly detailed, aged, broken wooden planked area with a buildup of barnacles. It will work great for everything from the planks of a pier protruding into the ocean, to the aged deck of a ship wreck or ghost ship!
-Wrath of the Kraken
This roller portrays a scene of decimation where a Kraken has torn a ship to pieces. I tried to make the waves as realistic as possible, being stirred up by the thrashing tentacles of the Kraken.
-Kraken Poneglyph
This roller shows an ancient carved tablet of a language lost to time; the markings on it make it clear that it spoke of the Kraken, whether in worship or fear. This roller should be great for making easy, scattered terrain. Roll out the design, then paste it wet onto some foam or a rock, and you have an ancient Poneglyth!
-Kraken on Deck
This is the roller I will be using to make some bases. It shows a wooden deck of a ship being smashed through by a Kraken. Overlapping writhing tentacles are bursting up through the deck. This means you can cut bases with wooden planks for miniatures to stand one buit also show the Kraken and water.
-Drystone Wall
This is a nice general-purpose roller for the set of dry stone. The idea of having it in the set is so you can make some island farmhouse-style ruins with it to go around the coastal area.
Scatter Terrain:
-Kraken Shipwreck
This 3-piece set includes three different sections of a ship being dragged into the depths by massive kraken tentacles. Use a single piece to add flavour to your map, or combine all three to create an entire ship mid-attack, frozen at the moment it all goes wrong.
-Floating Debris Scatter
When there’s nothing left to keep you afloat, a pile of drifting debris might be your players’ last hope. This 3-piece scatter set is perfect for breaking up open water, adding visual interest, or creating tense escape routes when paired with the Kraken Shipwreck.
-Barnacled Coastal Rocks
This 3-piece set is perfect for building out a storm-beaten coastline. Barnacle-covered and worn down by the sea, these rocks make great hazardous obstacles or bits of natural cover. Just don’t get too close if you value your hull.
As always, both pre-supported and non-supported versions are included!
