An Assassin of the Order of N’thara. Vakara’s targets are both in the same place at the same time, adding double the thrill to her current hunt. Calculating, cold and efficient, Vakara kills pragmatically, and cruelty in her kills is usually just a side effect.

The Order of N’thara has existed since the elder days, predating the cult of Irinax by millennia. When first founded, the order’s intent was to act as elite warriors, safeguards and vanguards against agents of Mindoriel that had tried to steep their way into Drow society. But as generations passed that creed grew diluted, until eventually they became killers for hire, but only purchasable with the coin that nobles and the wealthiest of Drow could afford. Some still see the N’thara as a creed now, and there are many raised within it that believe that too, but to the sharper witted, these rules are used as a means to instil loyalty and fear into its assassins and clientele.

Vakara was raised under such a creed, believing the order to be her family, as she and all its members take N’thara as their family name, forsaking whatever bonds they had before they joined. Serve in silence, for silence is discretion, and discretion is their power. Through power they pass out death and judgement, and in doing so they weave the webs of change in Lo Fuin’s Underground. So Vakara has lived by these words, being the strong, silent type, only speaking when spoken to, or in the brief moments of reprieve where she can meet with her kin between missions. Though this does not mean she constantly personifies herself as a hollow shell, rather that is her true self. Often on assignment she must don the persona of a charismatic noblewoman, a bubbly bard, soldier or a lady of desire. But beneath that facade, there is naught but void, a black hole of empathy.

Dozens of targets have been felled by her crossbows, poisons and blades, and now her two deadliest targets have made themselves known. Both Irinia the Hermit and Kadna Glydrin are powerful Breath Wielders, both spotted by Vakara in the plague-stricken villages in the Glanbelian borderlands. She knows what she must do, but each sorceress is leagues more powerful than her, so she must bide her time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
