At their core, the Sqidges are some sort of plant monster, but they sure don't look it. Their puss-filled little bodies sport random eyeballs, teeth, thick hairs, stinger-like claws, etc. They are so disgusting they are almost cute.
Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic.
The Sqidges were presented as as part of the Slimes! Kickstarter., but their actual debut was earlier, in the Mutant Mayhem Minis! kickstarter, where they were available as pewter figures. Stats for them appear in the adventure module The Goats of Travail, published by Dark-Platypus Studio and for use with the Mutant Crawl Classics RPG, published by Goodman Games. They are designed to fit on 1/2" Tiny-sized figure bases, but also look great on 3/4" Small bases.
