PlatCoTron Tactical Brain Robots – Flying Pose

28mm scale miniatures perfect for Mutant Crawl Classics RPG, Fallout RPG, or other tabletop games.

NOTE: This STL is part of the March Releases for Dark-Platypus Studios’ TRIBE, MUTANTS & MYTHS! You can get this model and a whole lot more for a significant savings by joining the TRIBE!

I’m starting a FALLOUT campaign! My world will be very like, but not quite, the traditional Fallout setting. As such, I wanted some robots that had that ‘Fallout’ feel, but were distinctly my own.

Enter the PlatcoTron Tactical Brain Robots. These tracked cyborgs feature longer arms than most PlatCoTron bots, enabling them to manipulate their environment to a greater degree. They also feature a variety of inventive onboard weapons, from lightning arcs firing from their hand emitters to a gas/smoke screen emitter. While one might be tempted to think that Stairs might be their greatest enemy, they also feature a powerful lifting rocket that lets them fly for short distances.

Of course, their greatest advantage –and greatest danger –come from the inclusion of an actual human mind that pilots the machine and makes the tactical decisions. In theory, these brains have been wiped clean of all remnants of their former owners personalities, and feature streamlined and intelligent decision engines. The reality is much messier, as the mind-wipe process proved difficult to perfect, and old personalities would occasionally bleed through. Over time and without maintenance (and therapy), most of these units have gone dangerously insane.

Pose 2 is Flyingg (there are 3 other poses available in my library to pick from as well). Additionally, it is presented in two variants: the base variant prints all in one piece, with an opaque ‘brain bowl’. The ‘nolid’ variants have the ‘brain bowl’ removed completely, exposing the brain and eyes and stuff so you can paint it. A separate ‘Glass Brain Cover’ can then be printed in clear resin and glued on top to complete the model.

These models also fit in nicely into the world of Mutant Crawl Classics, and so are part of the Mutant Mayhem Minis line.

The Mutant Mayhem Minis line of figures was designed for Mutant Crawl Classics RPG, but also go great with DCC, Gamma World, D&D or any game that uses 28mm minis.

Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm Heroic scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They include Pre-supported versions and unsupported versions (in case you want to alter the size to suit your own needs).
