Centurio Valerius of Arretium
(1 figure per pack)
Sculptor: Steve Saleh
Valerius is something of a celebrity in the Etruscan city-state of Arretium. Renown throughout the League as a resourceful commander with "balls of bronze", one tale in particular illustrates his cunning. In the summer of 424 BC, Valerius led his men on a raid into the Po River valley. To sow discord amongst the Gallic tribes, he and his troops would steal livestock and then plant the animals in the villages of neighboring tribes. Nearly a dozen inter-tribal conflicts were instigated in this manner, with Valerius and his Etruscans always ready to assist the "wounded" party.
