Izral Adventures - Ensemble Of Horrors

Death, gore, horror, and nightmares in a spectacle that sells out night after night. A new music, dark and twisted, that creates legions of fans. Few people who attend the shows remember them the next morning. Weird rumors spread around the show, which is even encouraged by the company of actors and musicians. Now, Diva Cataria’s Night of Nightmares is back in town, and you are waiting in line. What truth will you find in the rumors about this macabre act? Is this just entertainment, or something more? This is a dark-fantasy and horror 5e module set in the world of Izral and designed to be played by four to five characters of level 4. It is different in many ways from the other adventures set in the world of Izral, as you will see. It is designed to offer a different flavour of gaming and (we hope) an original kind of approach. It includes a roleplay-based introduction, a minigame where tortured actors must gain the attention of the public in an exciting and morbid show, and finally a combat encounter against the evil forces that try to mind-control the people of Anaria. It plays very well as a one-shot with new characters that don’t know each other, but can also be played with existing characters inside a campaign.

Adventures in the world of Izral are all fully compatible with the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons. A pdf document, maps and stat blocks are included for you and your friends to bring all the grimness and epic of Izral to the party, and each adventure is also associated with a high detail bundle of miniatures to bring the action to the table (for this adventure’s set, you can go to [link?]). 

Overview of the adventure:

Part I: Pantomime

Where the PCs are picked from the audience to participate in the show. They will have to follow the instructions of the jesters, which keep getting more and more disturbing…

Part II: Deus Ex Machina

Where the PCs, realizing what is going on and the effects of the music, try to steal the attention of the audience and hinder the Avatar’s control over them.

Part III: Catharsis

Where the Avatar of Scenes attacks the players, once the plot is fully revealed, and combat is due.
