Word Bearers Contemptor Dreadnought

Contemptor Dreadnoughts stride the battlefield as gods of war, each an indomitable armoured walker controlled by an interred Space Marine hero. Amongst the Word Bearers, those sealed into a Dreadnought shell are known as Annunake – a Colchisian term meaning alternatively 'Princely Sons' or 'Judges of Hell' – and honoured with the gift of eternal service. These war machines are walking temples to the XVII Legion's holy mission, leading the charge with immortal fervour.This multipart plastic and resin kit builds one Contemptor Dreadnought themed around the Word Bearers Legion. It includes a full plastic Contemptor Dreadnought and a Word Bearers Contemptor Dreadnought Upgrade Set with a resin head and torso. The head features a crown of sculpted flame, representing the fires of Primordial Truth, while the torso is covered in details distinct to the XVII Legion, such as flame-like armour trim, strips of parchment, and countless Colchisian sigils etched and sculpted across its armour. These resin components replace some elements from the plastic Contemptor Dreadnought kit, allowing you to build and arm the model as you like.This kit comprises 164 plastic components and 2 resin components, and comes with a Citadel 60mm Round Base as well as a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet containing 44 markings and icons. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints. This resin modelling kit is a collectable item, and construction should only be undertaken by expert Warhammer hobbyists aged 15 years and over.This kit is also compatible with the Contemptor Dreadnought Weapon Frames, which are sold separately, allowing you to outfit your Dreadnought with two copies of the same arm-mounted ranged weapon.
