The paths of Slick and Inquisitor Eisenhorn crossed on Proxima Finalis, when Eisenhorn hired the Desperado to provide a bit of firepower for a raid on a mutie rebel hideout. Having proved his worth to Eisenhorn, and with no better paid offer since, Slick has stayed in the Inquisitor's employ for the last couple of years.
