“Oh how much joy my pumpkeens and tall-beans bring me! And the florisinth is in full bloom! Glorious! I tell you, there is nothing sweeter than rising at dawn to greet the day with gardening in the warmth of a summer’s day. These pumpkeens are almost ready for harvesting. You should come back in a week and I’ll have a pie for you! Now, if only I could manage to weed out all of this Caliston Thistle, Garn and Thornbed from my beautiful garden…. ” – Marogot Dallishire, Twins resident
“Caliston Thistle, Garn and Thornbed…. to most they are a bane to be eradicated. But to me, they are divine healers full of medicine for those who know how to harvest it. Keep your pumpkeens and tall-beans, they are sweet but lacking in power. I do my gardening at night, by the light of the moon, and the bounty I harvest yields its riches only to those who wield a secret skill. To all others, poison, but to me it is healing and strength. ” – Oscolt Dallishire, Twins resident
After the last Orelog raid, when the north shore of Torbridge Cull was left in ruin, many of the surviving townsfolk focused on growing as much of thier food as they could close to home. Venturing out of town generated much anxiety for years after that last raid, and people were happy to be a little less dependent on the farms.
There are three vegetable patches in this scatter set. Each one is quite different from the next and suitable for setting up as an urban garden patch, or a small patch on a farm.
