Saladin – Sultan of Egypt and Syria
Model: MK203
Scale: 1/30
Finish: Matte
This majestic mounted figure portrays Saladin (Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb), the renowned Muslim commander who united much of the Islamic world under his leadership in the late 12th century. A brilliant strategist and noble adversary, Saladin is best remembered for his stunning victory over the Crusader states at the Battle of Hattin in 1187, followed by his recapture of Jerusalem—a moment that reverberated across both Islamic and Christian worlds.
Depicted atop a graceful Arabian stallion, Saladin wears traditional chainmail and scale armor, accented with green, gold, and crimson details. His stern gaze, flowing robes, and distinctive helmet convey a warrior of great conviction and composure. Historically admired for his chivalry, humility, and deep faith, Saladin died in 1193 having donated his entire wealth to charity, leaving only a few coins to his name.
A powerful representation of Islamic leadership during the Crusades, this figure adds cultural and historical depth to any medieval-era collection.
