In the Empire, faith is one of the main pillars of society.
When war reaches its borders, the Church rallies the faithful, offering absolution for all their sins in exchange for taking up arms to defend the realm.
Hosts of penitents march into battle, driven by the fervent sermons of their priests, carrying on their shoulders a relic as feared as it is sacred:
The Battle Altar.
At its summit stands a colossal statue of a griffon, one of the Empire’s most revered symbols, resting upon a column flanked by statues of ancient prophets.
At the front, the pulpit serves as a preaching platform for the great warrior-priests, who from there unleash prayers that set the hearts of the faithful ablaze.
I know what many of you are probably thinking…
“Isn’t it a bit too big?”
Well, it’s actually designed to fit perfectly on a 60x100 base, but if you still feel it’s too big for your taste—let me tell you—it’s completely scalable.
You can safely reduce it to 90% or even a bit more, and it will still work just fine.
Just make sure not to scale down the flagellants, since they’re the base of the model. Only scale the structure itself, and voilà! Everyone’s happy—whether you like your altars big and imposing, or prefer a more compact version.
Now some of you might also be thinking:
“That looks like a nightmare to transport…”
Well, I’ve thought about that too!
The most delicate part is the column with the griffon, so I’ve made it compatible with 2mm neodymium magnets, letting you detach and store the statue safely when needed.
