Description
It is a dreadful thing to remember that these elite warriors were once officers of loyalist armies who fought for humanity. What drives them now differs from one Unter to the next: greed, promises of power whispered by dark beings, or some deeply human wound that slowly rotted into a hunger for justice at any cost. Yet the end is always the same. They did not break, and they did not disappear. They chose their path and learned to inhabit it as naturally as they once lived by oath, discipline, and command. Unters are the battlefield leaders of the enemy’s accursed hosts, seasoned tacticians and masters of war for whom conflict has become the only true home. They are armed and equipped better than the rank and file because they are valued for results, not loyalty. Once they fought in bright uniforms and spoke of truth; now they march in black armor and murmur dark litanies, but their core has changed far less than anyone would wish to believe. Only one thing has ever truly mattered to them. They are always in their element, and that element is war.
