The "Coalborn-Machina" or the "Ashmourn" was forged as a sacred engine of war, its core stoked with an undying ember drawn from the pyres of a fallen empire. Designed to incinerate heretics and purge corruption, it carried out its duty with mechanical devotion—until the empire it served crumbled to dust. Now, it wanders the ruins, its purpose unfulfilled, its directives twisted by the echoes of long-dead priests.
It sees only impurity in all things, and so it burns without question. Its brass-plated form is scarred by centuries of fire and battle, its voice a hollow rasp of escaping steam. The air around it shimmers with unbearable heat and choking smog, and all that is certain is that Coalborn will burn until nothing remains.
