Svampen Swedish Water Tower

Svampen ("The Mushroom" in English). A water tower built in 1954-1958 in the city of Örebro, Sweden. Designed by the architects Sune Lindström and Poul Kyhl, and still a well-known local landmark to this day (2026). Apparently a large copy was built in Riyadh in 1971, and a system of several similar towers in Kuwait City in 1976.

This model is mainly intended as simple decoration in your bookcase or on your coffee table or workdesk. For funsies, there's a martini glass version of the water tower included. Though I suggest you drink from it using a straw.
