Description

Model Description:
This download contains a highly detailed model of a Cromwell Mk. V. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness).

Historical Description:
The Cromwell was a cruiser tank used in the European theater during World War 2 by the Commonwealth. The Cromwell was introduced in 1944 with roughly 4,000 being produced between all variants over its service life. The Cromwell Mk. V was equipped with a 75mm cannon, whereas some other versions mounted the 57mm 6-pdr cannon or 95mm howitzer. The Cromwell Mk. V's were Cromwell tanks built to their "final specification".

The Cromwell was known for its high potential top speed of 40mph due to the powerful and reliable Meteor V12 engine, though in practice this speed was not always utilized. The Cromwell's 75mm cannon could deal with lighter German armor but struggled against heavier tanks. Due to this Cromwell tanks often fought alongside the 17-pdr equipped Sherman Firefly.

In Armored Advance:
In armored advance the Cromwell V is a faster, but less armored alternative to the Sherman tank. The 75mm cannons on both vehicles are practically identical but the Cromwell, with its mobility, has the potential to see greater use when flanking the enemy.
