It is not always easy to tame the unruly nature of the infant C’tharac during the initial hours of their creation and they can be notoriously difficult to control without the use of powerful runic magic. It is theorised that this defiant element of a C’tharacs nature is due in some part to the torment suffered by the damned souls that are imprisoned behind the eyes of the Infants whose conflicting emotions of disbelief can often manifest in unbridled fits of rage.
It is the duty of the Prime to bind these damned souls using the archaic power of the runes. Once the binding is complete and the consciousness has eventually settled and come to the realisation of its fate then the absolute corruption of Lord C’thu is able to consume any remnants of his victims previous existences, extinguishing any sparks of defiance that might inexplicably remain.
