In battle the Vesparmoth are able to administer their poison by spraying it from their tails from a distance to be inhaled and ingested by those who would dare oppose C’thu. It is undoubtedly an unnecessarily cruel way to paralyze their victims but it is highly effective in making them more vulnerable to the assaults of the unrelenting devoted. Within their poison is a pheromone that attracts the male Vesparther towards those who have been infected, making it easier for them to harvest the madness that is manifested by their prey.
