Cadia was one of the lynchpin worlds in the defence of the Imperium from Chaos, holding fast for thousands of years. Though it recently fell at last in the 13th Black Crusade, that takes nothing away from its populace/military, the Cadian Shock Troops who fight on despite the loss of their home.
