Aluminium Casting of Golden Tailed Sugar Ant.

The Golden Tailed Sugar Ant is a common ant on the eastern coast of Australia. These particular ants made their nest in and around old tree roots making for a spectacular structure with very few of the usual recognisable structures within the nest. They are also wood feeders, nothing like living in the pantry.
