This farmstead outbuilding is designed as a paddock for medium sized animals, sheep, pigs or otherwise. It provides a simple shelter for hardy beasts, or wayfarers seeking even the meekest of shelter for the night.
“What's more dangerous than a wolf from the Endless Forest? A sheep from the Beryl way!" - Local humour reflecting the reputation livestock from the Beryl Way has and their need for self-sufficiency.
Far beyond the reaches of help from Torbridge Cull, way down south along the Old Beryl Way where it skirts the edges of the endless forest, live a particularly hardy stock of frontiersmen. People from the 'Cull semi-pejoratively call them "stone farmers", both because of the huge amounts of stone they've had to clear from their land and because of their stoic manner and hardy lives.
These farmers and frontiersmen live on the edge of the vast unknown of the Endless Forest, and some are closer to the border with the desert lands than they are to Torbridge Cull. Contact with Cullmen is seldom, and some remote families probably only deal with folk from the 'Cull once or twice a year. They probably see more desert bandits skulking in the foothills of the ambush cliffs than they do fellow Talharians.
The Stone Farmers generally only keep hardy animals that can withstand inclement weather and fend off predation. The sheep of Beryl Way are, as a result, some of the toughest you'll find. For this reason, Cullmen jokingly refer to them as Beryl Way Wolves.
