Mordian Iron Guard Vs Tau - Warhammer 40k 400pts Combat Patrol 7th Ed. Battle Report
A Standard Infantry Platoon takes on an advanced Tau Scouting Party in the ruins of an Imperial Outpost, Outnumbered and out gunned the Imperials must hold the line!
Combat Patrol Rules:
Same gameplay rules as 40k with the following restrictions:
· Armies cannot be greater than 400 points.
· No models with more than 2 wounds.
· No models with a 2+ armour save or an Invulnerable save greater than a 4+.
· No vehicles with total armour value (counting side armour once) greater than 33.
· Only Mastery Level 1 Psykers/Brotherhood of Psykers.
· No Forgeworld, Superheavies, Lords of War or gargantuan creatures.
Combat Patrol uses a modified Combined Arms Detachment for unit selection:
· 0-1 HQ.
· 0-1 Elites.
· 1-3 Troops.
· 0-1 Fast Attack.
· 0-1 Heavy Support.
All Troops from this detachment are Objective Secured.
All units must be from the same faction
There are 3 Mission Scenario:
1) Package Retrieval (AKA Relic):
An important supply cache/piece of technology/the Commissars favourite hat has been discovered in this area and your team has been sent in to secure it, but rest assured you won’t be the only one looking for it.
Primary Objectives: 1 objective in the Middle of the table worth 6 points.
Secondary Objectives: First Blood, Linebreaker and Warlord.
2) Take and Hold (AKA Crusade):
Your patrol has been sent in ahead of the main force to secure a number of vitally strategic points. However, it appears the enemy has had the same idea.
Primary Objectives: 3 objectives, each worth 3 points.
Secondary Objectives: First Blood, Linebreaker and Warlord.
3) Routine Patrol (AKA Kill Points):
Out on a routine patrol, your soldiers stumble across an enemy force also on patrol! You must do as much damage as possible before reporting back to base.
Primary Objectives: 1 victory point for each enemy unit destroyed.
Secondary Objectives: First Blood, Linebreaker and Warlord.
Special Mentions
Necron Quantum Shielding is not in play.
No Summoning of any kind.
Max Vehicles in a non-flyer squadron in 2.
Max 1 Flyer per army.
No Special Characters.
No D-weapons.
