This purchase includes 3 poses for the Water Seeker aliens! You will receive the STLs and the pre-supported STLs too. Plus, you'll also get two 80mm alien desert bases and one 60mm alien desert base to display them.
The miniatures are fairly large, as they're the larval form of the massive Dust Stalker aliens. However, due to the high level of detail on the miniatures, you can shrink them and print them smaller if you wish, so they could be the size of a large dog for example and be a cute/ugly pet!
The three poses are:
- Sleeping
- Standing
- Rearing up in excitment (you'll need to stick this guy to a base in order for him to hold that pose as he's top heavy lol)
Storyline of the Dimozian Sands Collection
Dimozia had once been a mighty desert city in the Southern Sands, before the space debris hit. Less than a fifth of the population escaped as the city was levelled and consumed by fire. The bombardment also disrupted the water supply, making their barren homeland even harder to survive in.
In the aftermath of this disaster, two different factions emerged - The Blessed and The Engineers. The Blessed believed the Great Burning was a sign that they should live in harmony with the desert, working in tandem with nature from now on. They leaned into old traditions, reviving the ancient art of Beast Taming which uses Water Seekers, the young larva of the mighty Dust Stalkers, to locate water sources. The adults are then used for transportation and protection, revered as sacred beasts. Adeleka leads the spiritual faction, with Kasiya the Beast Tamer as her second.
Water Seekers are docile creatures and they graze on tough desert vegetation, as well as eating insects and other small animals. However, they mostly get these by scavenging, or from humans, since they're not good hunters. The two horns on their head and the three spines around their mouth are highly sensitive to the presence of water beneath the ground. For treats, they can be persuaded to look for water, and once found, they will rear up excitedly to let you know they've found it. They enjoy belly rubs too :D
