This lava worms generates tremendous heat. This heat and the creature’s sinuous shape allows ji to burrow through dirt, gravel, and stone, as well as some softer metals and composites. It has a roughly segmented body. Cooler, stony plates form on these segments, with hot flesh between them, to protect it. A similar material, rigid but superheated due to the worm’s internal fire, makes a pointed “beak” that it uses to burrow and attack.
