Catalogs Cutter - this is an online instrument of creating sets from scanned catalogs. Ask us for access to it, if you want to help.
The main function of this instrument - to mark on image needed region and do something with it - create new set with image from this region, add cutted image to existing set or just cut out part of image for your self.
In parallel with Cutter there is a usual Catalogs Viewer for everybody. When you create sets and add markers - in usual catalog will appear active regions with links to sets page. Useful, nice and interactive)
Choosing region
The most conveniently way to select needed region - with mouse cursor, but all functions working also on phones and tablets, but a little slowly.
All is classic - pull, resize, reduce or increase region how you need. There is additional possibilities. First of all you can zoom in and out image with mouse to exactly positioning your region. Second - with doubleclick on image you change mode to moving image regarding selection. This can be useful.
Creating new set
To create new set from catalogs page - select needed region, fill fields "Set id", "Title" etc and click on button "Create new set". With this a new marker on catalogs page will appear and you can change it later and edit.
Creating set fields
Fields contains two parts. First - company, game, faction and specification. They automatically saved and you dont need to change them next time. It's useful for working with one part of catalog, where everything is the same.
Second fields part are the main - id, title and quatity of miniatures - all this you can get from catalog. All other fields of sets a filling with default values, thats a specify in catalog's settings.
When you create set or marker - in the coordinates field you can see real coordinates of selection. Changing this you dont change visual selection, but you can set coordinates of marker with more precision. Image will be cutted and marker appear with those coordinates.
If such set is already on site
If there is already a set with such an ID in the database, then when you enter this ID in the appropriate field, the red cross next to the field will be replaced with a positive checkmark and the internal dial number on the site will be added to the marker field. In this case, you do not need to create a set, just create a marker - i.e. the link of this area to the recruitment page in the normal catalog view.
Adding a picture to an existing set
For each user, the last added set is saved so that additional pictures from the catalog can be easily added to it. You can see which set you have now "selected" in the section "Your last set" - there is all the necessary information about it.
Having selected the required area on the catalog page, you can generate a picture and automatically add it to the selected set by clicking on the "Add new image to last set" button.
If you suddenly forgot to add a picture to one of the sets on this page and in the last set you already have a different one - just select the desired marker number in the marker line and the set associated with this marker will become selected and you can add an image to it.
Just generating a picture
There are times when you need to cut a piece of a page from the catalog for anything and use it somewhere. To do this, select the desired catalog page, mark the area you need on the page and click on the "Just Generate New Image" button. After reloading the page, the image you need will be above this button - just copy the link to it or save it to yourself.
Markers
A marker, in this case, is an area that is bound to a set. Markers are shown as links in normal catalogs browsing. Marker coordinates, in fact, are saved as a percentage of the overall image, so as not to depend on the size of the images, because they are very different for working on catalogs and during normal viewing.
Creating markers
There are two ways to create markers - they are automatically saved when you create a set from the catalog. And the second option is to select an area and indicate in the NID field the internal number of the material on the site - it can be any material on the site - and click on the button for creating a marker.
This option also works if you drive in an existing set ID in the field for creating a new set - the automation will check the site for the presence of this id in the database and, if it finds an exact match, will fill in the marker binding field with the required internal number.
Changing and removing markers
You can view or correct markers using the buttons for selecting markers from already created ones or at the bottom of the page, which lists all the sets linked to this page.
After selecting one of the markers, you can change its area and anchor to the internal material ID and resave it. Or remove nafik if it is wrong or no longer needed. Also, after selecting a marker, the anchored set becomes "selected" and you can add additional pictures to it, and not to the last one you created.
Catalog works statistics
All actions of users who worked with this directory are recorded and saved in order to show who did what and how much in processing this directory. Ideally, based on the results of the percentage participation, it is worth rewarding everyone with some positive points, as was first thought up in Working together. Here the question is open and not yet implemented. Statistics are saved and can be solved and implemented at any time, sooner or later)
