The Poltergeist is a dedicated militarised space drone wingman. Originally designed as a standalone AI-operated craft, the AI agent developed feelings for the designer and the brass had it scrubbed in favour of a wingman programme slaved to a pilot-operated craft. Designed for wrack storage in micro-gravity, it lacks landing gear, but folds to stow away, minimising its storage profile.

The Poltergeist is armed to the teeth, with 44 micro missiles stored in the arms, a laser lens cannon on a dedicated turret, and five autocannon turrets.
