About company

Byron Collins began designing games in high school as a creative outlet to reskin D&D into a home-brew Sci-Fi RPG. This kicked off a journey in 2008 to self-publish a number of WWII-themed card and miniatures games (Spearpoint 1943 series) while learning and teaching about publishing and crowdfunding in the process.

His interest shifted back to Sci-Fi to develop an innovative sandbox Sci-Fi miniatures-agnostic tabletop game called Polyversal, designed by Ken Whitehurst, which received an Origins Award nomination in 2022 for Best Miniatures Game and won RockyMountainNavy's Wargame Rules of the Year in 2025. Polyversal led to new collaborations with others including Austin of Death Ray Designs, Laramie of Tabletop Terrain, Dale Eadeh of Hardware Studios, and a number of fantastic artists and graphic designers.

Collins Epic Wargames is actively developing Oasis: Tactical Salvage Reclamation among other projects. Byron runs Collins Epic Wargames with his fiance, Kat, out of Williamsburg, Virginia.
