This kit contains 1 Anglo-Saxon style Cruck Frame House

These buildings are based on the Cruck frames commonly found in Anglo-Saxon houses.
They could be found all throughout the period of the Norman Conquest and the Barons’ War,
all the way up through the English Civil War and the Monmouth Rebellion.

Crucks are formed using two curved timbers, often halved, to form a stable frame,
upon which further construction could continue.

‘Edward the freeman travels from village to village selling surplus horseshoes made by the local farrier.
He rents his house for a reasonable price, and lives with his wife and two sons, who tend to the croft around
his home.’
