Collie model for 3D printing.
Like many others, I first discovered the Collie breed through Eric Knight’s novel Lassie Come-Home. From that story, an image took root in my mind — a dog of breathtaking beauty and aristocratic bearing, paired with an almost mad devotion to its owners. I tried to capture that spirit in the pose: the Collie has returned to its master with a stick in its mouth and, meekly tucking its paws beneath itself, waits with quiet humility for the game to continue.
The greatest challenge — and at the same time, the greatest pleasure — was working with the fur: how it layers and falls, sticks out here and smooths down there, fluttering ever so slightly in a soft breeze.
