When teenager Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider while on a school field trip, he was granted superhuman strength, the ability to sling webs and crawl up walls, and Spider- Sense, an almost preternatural ability to perceive and avoid impending danger. Realizing that with great power must come great responsibility, Parker took on the mantle of Spider-Man and has fought to defend the people of New York City from any danger they might face, no matter how big or small.
