Aussie born and raised. Delilah clings to her grandparent’s identities as true scots, having been raised under their roof for most of her childhood, when she wasn’t sleeping in gutters or dodging the CCPS after holding up an eMart. Her accent is thus a strange blend of Australian and Scottish, though both nationalities hear the other accent if speaking to her personally.
Delilah excelled at all sports she tried in school, a natural prodigy and born athlete many called her. Her grandparents hoped she would be destined for the Olympics, but reality often proves disappointing. Finding herself in the wrong crowd in highschool, Delilah quickly earned a reputation as a bruiser and a bully, though in truth she was just quick to kick the ass of anyone that crossed her or her friends. Unfortunately, one of the victims of a particular ass kicking was the daughter of a high ranking police official. She was on the wrong side of the law, and not wanting to take responsibility for her actions, her grandparents severed all ties from her. Delilah was now truly alone, living on the street.
It was during these tumultuous teenage years, as she navigated the underbelly of the city, that Delilah's path crossed with "The Facade," a shadowy organization known only to the few who dared to whisper its name. The Facade, intrigued by her natural athleticism and the raw survival instinct they saw in her during street fights, approached her with an offer she couldn't refuse—training, shelter, and a chance to wield power in a world where she had felt powerless.
Under the tutelage of The Facade's enigmatic mentors, she honed her skills with the cyber katanas and learned the art of stealth, becoming a living weapon. The Facade shaped her into the perfect assassin, but it was Delilah's own will that moulded her into 'Tempest'—a storm of blades and bloodshed, feared by the corrupt elite and underworld scum alike. Yet, in the depths of her being, she clung to a code of honor inherited from her grandparents, choosing targets who she believed deserved the finality she delivered.
Delilah operates under the radar, her identity a closely guarded secret within The Facade, which functions like a corporate entity with a veneer of legitimacy. It takes contracts from various corporate clients, but its true allegiance is to its own enigmatic agenda. Despite her ruthless efficiency, Delilah is not without a heart. The whispers in the shadows speak of her sparing those who show true remorse or innocence—a trait that has earned her both respect and caution from her handlers. As 'Tempest', she is a force of nature on the Chrome Coast, a symbol of fear and awe, a reminder that even the mightiest can fall by the blade of a once-forgotten street kid.
