As the party fought off the horde of a Living Failures - something else approached from the darkness.
Heavier than these failed clay figures, but seemingly more agile. It moved back and forth just out of sight. One would swear it could teleport short distances as it was ahead of them, then behind them and then to their side.
They quickly realized this was a predator waiting for a moment of weakness or for someone to separate from the party.
The endless horde of failures continued to charge at the party until one managed to catch the party off guard. The Living Failure launched itself at the adventurer, tackling them to the ground as they crumbled into chunks of strange clay.
Before anyone could help them, the beast pounced. Emerging from the dark, a strange amalgamation of parts that formed a beast-like clay creature. Most odd of all was its head - it looked like a large six-fingered hand that grabbed the adventurer on the ground. Suddenly, two rapid strikes from a stinger at the end of its tail punctured their chest just before dragging them into the dark.
