Zoe the Golden Ranger - Golden Retriever

Losing a pet is never an easy thing to do as they become part of your family. You see alot of tribute sculpts in the Dark Sword line for people that Dark Sword is friends with as I feel it is not only a fun/cool thing to do when the pet is with them in the world, but in cases of losing a pet, my hope is it will help the friend of Dark Sword always remember their special pet/companion in a most epic/awesome way. A good friend of Dark Sword named Michael Proctor who paints studio models for us and for George R.R. Martin's personal collection lost his dog Zoe last year. She was like family to Michael so I wanted to do something cool to honor her memory. So I had Mr. Des Hanley do up a tribute piece of artwork with Zoe as an anthropomorphic Ranger. We then had Dave Summers bring the artwork to life with the sculpt. This piece is very special as Michael painted the studio model you see below. We also just released an actual version of Zoe as a proper Golden Retriever. So Zoe is in good company with my two miniature schnauzers as she has a true to life tribute sculpt and also an anthro sculpt shown here. You can scroll down and see pictures of Zoe when she was out on hikes with Michael and his wife. She is quite the ranger.
