The Armageddon Steel Legion train to fight in the polluted environments of their home world, making them ideal for missions in hazardous urban environments across the galaxy. Clad in protective great coats and rebreathers tested against Armaggedon's toxic ash wastes, and often recruited from the gangs who war over the planet's industrial sectors, these soldiers are renowned for their dispassionate efficiency in mechanised warfare.
This multipart metal set builds 24 classic miniatures, wearing the instantly recognisable greatcoats, visors, and rebreathers of Armageddon's Steel Legion. The platoon is led by a Steel Legion Officer – who you could use in games of Warhammer 40,000 as a Cadian Castellan – armed with a bolt pistol and power sword, and clad in a distinctive skull-faced rebreather. They command a Heavy Weapons Squad of three teams armed with lascannons, and two Infantry Squads of 10 models each, armed with the shortened Voss-pattern lasguns used by the Steel Legion. Each Infantry Squad includes a Sergeant equipped with a chainsword and laspistol, a gunner armed with a grenade launcher, and a Heavy Weapons Team divided into two separate models, operating a missile launcher.
This platoon is an ideal way to add extra variety to your Astra Militarum army with a Steel Legion division, complete a collection of classic models, or launch a new project.
This set comprises 42 metal components. All models are supplied with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints.
