Description
Yutyrannus huali is a species of tyrannosauroid dinosaur that lived in what is now China during the Early Cretaceous period, approximately 125 million years ago.
It is notable for being one of the largest known feathered dinosaurs, with evidence of feathers covering much of its body. Yutyrannus huali was about 9 meters long and weighed around 1,400 kilograms.
Despite its large size, it is believed that Yutyrannus was still capable of running at high speeds, aided by its strong legs and flexible tail.
The first fossils of Yutyrannus huali were discovered in 2012.
