Fagaroth Alerion was once a devout priest, a beacon of faith in a crumbling world, but his fall was as spectacular as his devotion had once been. Refusing to accept the gods' decree that his village should be left to perish in a plague, he performed a forbidden ritual to draw power from the divine. The gods, enraged by his defiance, twisted his prayer into a curse. Fagaroth was condemned to immortality as a beast—a massive, wolven creature with eyes that burned like embers. By day, he retained his human form, his skin etched with glowing runes of divine wrath. By night, his monstrous side emerged, and he roamed the land, forever barred from the mercy of death. His curse was not only eternal life but the haunting memories of his failure to save his people.
Centuries passed, and Fagaroth became a myth, a shadow that stalked the edges of mortal life. Despite his monstrous form, he continued his rebellion against the gods, targeting their temples and sacred sites, tearing down the altars he once worshipped. Yet his actions were not born of vengeance alone; they were a plea, a desperate attempt to force the gods to revoke his curse. But the heavens remained silent, and his howls of anguish echoed in empty sanctuaries. Villagers spoke of the cursed priest-turned-werewolf as both savior and scourge, protector and destroyer, a being trapped in an endless war against the divine forces he once served. And so, Fagaroth Alerion roamed, an eternal reminder of the price of defying the will of gods.
